Persuasive Writing

We a learning how to use ethos ,pathos and logos  in to our persuasive writing.

The Mayor of Auckland
Mr Len Brown.

Dear Sir,
I am writing this to ask you to do something about the “Dog Attacks that happen.  I understand that you can not perhaps do something about those that happen outside of our city, but dogs attacking people are a very real problem!
I strongly believe that we should  have strong consequences for people who do not control their dogs. New Zealand dogs kill and eat up to 54 birds  in a day and we hear about dogs attacking children and adults often. Imagine what that must be like, to have a dog attack you when it goes wild and crazy!

One day, my little cousin and I were walking to the local shops to buy milk.
A man with a dog on the other side of the road, let go of the leash and the dog got crazy, barked so hard and ran towards us and attacked my cousin for no apparent reason.  My cousin ended up in the hospital with many stitches on his arms and head.  My cousin at this time was seven years old, and this terrible memory will be with him along time.

Last Friday in Tonga, my Dad’s  sister died from a dog attack too.
When the ambulance came,  it was already late because my auntie  is dead.  This shows that dog attacks can happen at any time and that this is not just a problem for New Zealand but it is  a Worldwide Issue.  We here in Aotearoa, need to take action to make sure that the dog attacks stop and that another person does not lose their life!

Something  needs to happen and it needs to happen now!
